Asgard Musik was conceived in April 1997CE as a protest to the local scene that was following trends of the time. In mid 1997CE we signed our first band, MIRK, and later that same year conducted the first official release. MIRK's Of Spirit And Blood has been received well in the underground, even producing a glowing review from the notorious Nordic Visions.

The next few years were quiet, acting mainly as a distro. Interest rekindled in early 2001CE with the signing of THE BLACK DEATH and KILL THE KRISTIANS. Later that same year two new releases were conducted; Deathstick (cassette and cdr) and DemoI (cdr). Also one more band was added to our stable in late 2001, namely NUCLEAR WINTER.

In 2002CE Asgard held its first concert, this was to commemorate our fifth year of existence. RECRUCIFYING THE BASTARD has since become an annual event.
